Further connected tours:
From the carpark Taubensee, the hike starts with a short section of road towards Mordaualm. Because of the sunny location and breathtaking views to the imposing Hochkalter massif, this circular hike impresses every time.
Opposite the small hut, at the fork in the road, take the path on the right that leads along a fence and over two small bridges down into the Klausgraben. On the other side of the creek, the path climbs slightly until you come across a wider sandy path again. Follow the path north-east across the meadows to the highest point of the hike, which is clearly recognizable from afar by a prominent residential building. Passing a turn-off to the Mordaualm, you hike down through the wintery landscape back to the starting point. When there is little snow, the hike can also be extended to the Mordaualm, where you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain panorama. However, this trail is not cleared in winter.
