The Soleleitungsweg Ramsau runs along the historic salt pipeline, which transported brine from the Berchtesgaden salt mine to Bad Reichenhall from 1817 to 1927. Approximately 300 meters above the valley, the well-developed path runs without noticeable incline along the southern slopes of Ramsau. From this unique scenic promenade, you can see the Reiteralpe, Hochkalter, Watzmann and, a little further away, the rises of the Steinerne Meer, the Hagengebirge, and the Göll massif. From (P) Zipfhäusl, always follow the Soleleitungsweg with yellow signage via Berggasthof Gerstreit to Berggasthof Söldenköpfl.
All hiking stages are described as a single route, which can be chosen for the same return route, follow-up tour, or bus use.
