The western stage of the Ramsau Soleleitungsweg initially leads through a typical hump meadow terrain until it merges with the historic salt pipeline, through which from 1817 to 1927, the brine from the Berchtesgaden salt mine flowed to Bad Reichenhall. This comfortable path is the beginning of the sunny scenic promenade offering a view of the highest mountain peaks of the Berchtesgaden valley, which is unique and continued with the Soleleitungsweg East hiking stage. From (P) Taubensee, always follow the Soleleitungsweg with yellow signage to Gasthof Zipfhäusl.
All hiking stages are described as a single route, which can be chosen for the same return route, follow-up tour, or bus use.
