The valley of the Ramsau Ache extends approximately 14 km from the train station in Berchtesgaden (541 m) to Hintersee (790 m). The riverside hiking trail leaves the valley floor only in the area of the Felsentor (rock gate) and runs from Roßhofschmiede to Wimbachbrücke over Preisen and Kederbachlehen. Here starts the route description "Along the Ramsau Ache - Wimbachbrücke to Village Center". The beautiful footpath winds barrier-free and almost without incline along the stream up to the village center. The hike can be interrupted as desired, as it passes by the Bergkurgarten (mountain spa garden) with its graduation house, the Protestant Church zum Guten Hirten, and the Malerwinkl (Painters’ corner) with the world-famous photo motif of St. Sebastian's Ramsau Parish Church.
All hiking stages are described as a single route, which can be chosen for the same return route, follow-up tour or bus use.
