Summer hike, not passable during snowfall
A comfortable hiking trail starts at the Wimbachbrücke, up to Wimbach valley, where Wimbachschloss's beer garden invites you to rest.
A mighty stream of rubble characterizes this high valley with its unique flora and leads you to the Wimbachgrieshütte (mountain hut).
With a bit of luck, you will be able to observe chamois and groundhogs during a break, before heading further up the impressive Wimbach Valley.
From Trischübelpaß, the highest point of this tour, a twisted trail continues downwards where you manage a short exposed passage with wooden ladders, which is well secured with wire ropes.
Surrounded by steep cliffs and accompanied by the roar of a clear mountain stream, you descend through a lush vegetation from the junction Sigeretplatte.
here you will hike through natural deciduous forests down the Schrainbach stream, and then along the shore to northwards to the beginning of the St. Bartholomä peninsula.
Follow the Rinnkendl-Steig (steep trail) to the Kührointalm, from where you get back to the parking lot at the Wimbachbrücke.
