The alpine pastures on the Watzmann: Stubenalm (1180 m), Mitterkaseralm (1410 m), and Falzalm (1650 m) are located on the way to the Watzmann and each is a worthwhile destination in itself. The Watzmannhaus (1930 m) is situated on the panoramic Falzköpfl and is one of the largest accommodation huts in the Berchtesgadener Alps. From the National Park Information Centre, the path follows the left across the bridge following the signs to the Watzmannhaus. The path initially leads through the mountain forest to the Stubenalm, further on a lighter path to the Mitterkaseralm and from there very picturesque over the Falzalm (photo motif) to the Watzmannhaus.
