Trail:

Follow the Soleleitung from the parking area Hochschwarzeck to Berggaststätte Söldenköpfl, continue on the Breitriedelsteig up to the mountain from there.

By car:

Coming from Berchtesgaden, take the B305 towards Traunstein, turn onto the Alpenstraße in the direction of Hochschwarzeck and follow the road to the parking area.

Description

By foot we proceed over the famous saltwater pipeline, also called "balcony of God", to Toter Mann (translated dead man). A summit cross, cozy benches, a lush green green field and a 360° panoramic view of the mountains in the region invite you to linger.

The detour to the Hirscheck just below the summit is worth a visit. Where you enjoy unique views of the national park and the valley of Ramsau from the restaurant Hirschkaser. This magnificent vantage point can be reached by the Hirscheck chair lift as well.
