Hike up to the plateau of the Lattengebirge on pleasantly sloped old cat tracks. The Moosenalm (alpine pasture) invites you to take a break before passing through authentic spruce forests to the scenic Lattenbergalm (alpine pasture). A short climb will lead you to the highest point of your hike.
From here you go down quickly over the Mordaualm (alpine pasture) to Taubensee lake and back to the Schwarzbachwacht parking area.
On the entire hike, you will find interesting details on the management of pastures today and past. As a centuries-old form of agriculture, the pastures ensured the existence of the associated farms in the valley.
During the alpine summer season, you will have the opportunity to eat home-grown food and to get an insight into the life on a mountain pasture talking to the staff.
