You can reach Schärtenalm on the trail to Blaueishütte after 1 ½ hours by foot.

Starting Point:

Parking area Seeklause (Hinterseer Str. 104, 83486 Ramsau)

The Schärtenalm is located about halfway between lake Hintersee and the Blaueishütte (mountain cabin).
From there you have a beautiful view over the Hintersee, Reiteralm massif and the valley of Ramsau. The Schärtenalm is also known for its homemade cakes, whose pieces are so generously portioned that even hungry mountaineers are fed up after a long tour.
