Two farmers from Ramsau wrangle their cattle onto the Schappachalm from the beginning of June to mid-July, until mid-August to the alpine pasture Kühroint and then back to Schappachalm until the end of September.
The Kührointalm is also the highest information center of the National Park Berchtesgaden. There is a small chapel at Kühroint, which is dedicated to the memory of all victims of the Berchtesgaden mountains and the patron saint of mountaineers, Saint Bernard of Aosta.
