The National Park Center “Haus der Berge“ offers a wide range of options for preparing or following up a visit to Germany’s only alpine national park: The award-winning exhibition “Vertical Wilderness”, interactive information about the reserve, a cinema with nature films, changing exhibitions and a themed library are waiting to be explored.

On the panorama path surrounding the building, the four main habitats of the national park can be explored: water, forest, alpine pastures, and rock. If the weather permits, the views of Watzmann, Hochkalter and Jenner are simply fantastic.
