An impressive walk through the center of Berchtesgaden conveys its 900-year history since the Augustinian monastery was founded. Some of the sights include the collegiate church, the royal castle with its deer museum, the spa gardens, the historic houses on the market square and the museum of local history in the Adelsheim Castle. Amazing views can be enjoyed from the former brine pipeline along the signposted Emmaus walk.
