The Dokumentation Obersalzberg is a place for learning as well as remembrance. Lead by a scientific team, the museum provides information about the history of its location, which once was the center of power of the dictatorship as well as Adolf Hitler’s residence during the national socialism. The exhibition with the historical bunkers shows how mass crimes were planned and ordered in this idyllic alpine landscape. With approximately 170000 visitors per year, the Dokumentation Obersalzberg counts as one of the most important historical exhibition centers.
